Doug took pictures of the participation of the Dutch Ministry of Defence at the yearly Remembrance Day in Amsterdam. He was able to artistically capture not only the serene surrounding and atmosphere but also the intensity of the emotions displayed on the faces of the military and civilian participants. We were so impressed by Doug's pictures that we added them to our special collection archive. This means that the pictures will be displayed in future exhibitions and events.

Furthermore, we've co-submitted Doug's pictures for the Pride Photo Award competition. I sincerely recommend his work!

I have admired Doug's artwork for years. I've always been very fond of the Moon Series. Now I actually have the Moon Series grouping hanging in my guest room. The artwork turned out better than I imagined. He also designed my 2011 holiday cards (4 different cards) using the Pastel Moon work. I received so many positive comments and look forward to a new design for 2012's cards. Doug - keep up the great work!

Doug captured a great photograph of our recent trip to the Sea of Cortez. Now hanging in our den, many friends visiting our home have commented on the imagery and composition of the photo. The piece, now framed, is a constant reminder of his skills and, as important, a wonderful time in Mexico.

I purchased an aluminum 26 1/2 by 40 inch Last Leaves of Fall from Doug a few weeks ago. I have it hanging where I can enjoy it every day. The color is fantastic and it seems like there is a light shining from the picture. It was difficult choosing from so many fabulous photos but Doug was very helpful . Overall a great experience which I hope to repeat in the future.

I have enjoyed attending a few of Doug's gallery shows and his work is fantastic. I drive through Atlanta's streets every day and find it amazing how Doug can capture true art in places and items that I fly past at 60 mph. I have two of Doug's prints in my collection. The last one I purchased was "Moon Over the Ligurian Sea, Vernazza". We have collected art in all mediums for decades and I am sure that our Sturgess prints will forever hold a position of prominence in our home.
